I have to leave my primary residence vacant while travelling and would like to set up a low-cost, hassle free camera system to keep an eye on things while I’m away.

The features I need would be the ability to monitor the footage, receive alerts of activity & play back any recordings while away.

Someone has given me a Ring doorbell so I was looking at adding a couple of ring indoor cameras for another £80 but am a bit put off by the £8 monthly fee for ring protect.

Also, I use google home so am wondering if there is there an advantage to having an eco system that works better with google?

Any advice as to what I should be looking at here?
