I run a setup with a bunch of IP cameras streaming over local RTSP to Home Assistant.
Does there exist a brand of OUTDOOR camera (rated IP65+) that has an RJ45 port for hardwired ethernet and also has a built-in mic for being able to listen to audio over the stream? Obviously the camera supporting local RTSP is a must.
I currently exclusively use Amcrest ProHD 1080p PTZ cameras indoors and they check all the boxes. They are virtually plug and play over ethernet. No janky mobile app required to set them up. Once connected, the network assigns it a local IP address, and from there I can just browse to the IP address and configure any available settings.
I tried the Amcrest ProHD outdoor bullet cams, but like all other brands of outdoor cameras I’ve tried thus far (Foscam, Wansview, Amcrest) none of them have a built in mic to be able to hear audio over the RTSP stream. Is this just a limit of the outdoor IP “bullet” style cameras?
Priorities in order:
1.) Outdoor (IP65+ rated at least)
2.) Supports local RTSP
3.) Has an RJ45 ethernet port
4.) Built in mic
