Is there a POE turret camera with greater than 13mm zoom?
I’ve wired my mailbox for poe and I want to put cameras inside the base of it to record up and down the street. Using the Dahua starlight camera and the right settings I can get about 70% of license plates during the day, unsure at night, but I assume not great.
While I understand this isn’t ideal for LPR, I’m not currently interested in building a bigger box to house a proper LPR camera right now, and the longer ones don’t fit inside my mailbox base.
I have about 4-6″ to work with (up to 10″ if I get creative), but I’ve not found any camera in this size range with a greater than 13mm varifocal lens.
The bullet style would fit if I could remove the mounting portion behind the camera, but I don’t think that’s possible.
Before I give up, I just wanted to know if you guys could think of any cameras that might work that I haven’t found yet?
