Long story short, my ISP are scum, they made it so port-forwarding only comes if you have the static IP subscription, it is extremely expensive for SUCH A BASIC FEATURE, like I just wanna host an SSH server to program in Linux, I can’t even host a simple server to play with my friends either. Hamachi isn’t a solution that works in all games obviously. But I used TailScale to connect to my SSH server so that’s sorted. Now, I’m wondering if there is a way to force open a port? A software/hardware exploit of sorts? I’ve heard people buy a third-party router but it’s not guaranteed to work for me plus we have a fiber line so that option will be even MORE expensive. I just need to open ports from time to time and this is pissing me off so much.
