UK police on Monday said they were investigating new information regarding harassment and stalking claims made by a woman, with British media reporting comedian Russell Brand was the target of the probe.
Apologies for any ignorance and naivety. I’m doing my research but also pinched on time and looking for your thoughts!
I’m intending to put a new entry lock on my front door and interior garage door, after the house is finished being built.
At the moment, both door’s hardware consists of a handle (potentially a handle-set on the front) and a deadbolt.
Aside from an easy remedy of putting on a new deadbolt for the interior garage door, the front door consists of mostly glass. My intuition tells me that it would be pointless to put an expensive lock on this door, since a burglary would likely end-off with the glass being shattered… At which case, I would be dependent on an alarm system to hopefully do the job to scare-off any intruders. Is this a fair assertion?
If so, does choosing an appropriate lock really come down to what is convenient for me to open the door and what I can afford? (I understand that to some extent, getting something easily hack-able or pick-able leans in the other direction of making an intruders job easier than smashing glass. I’m suspecting there is a line to be drawn somewhere.) I’m Canada, so the lock would need to perform well in the winter, as well.
It sounds like I’m settled on the direction for the interior garage door but open to suggestions there, as well; I was leaning towards putting a Schlage B60N622 on it and calling it a day.
