Need guidance for purchasing security system for new house
Due to work-related travel, my home will remain empty for a few month a year, so I would like to setup a full security system to be able to monitor and keep the home safe. I am looking for recommendations on what brands, vendors, and models to use, and what I should setup. The area does have the usual players like ADT and Brinks.
Here’s is my situation
- I have single family detached home in PA in a non-gated community
- I have high speed internet
- I have smart thermostats and switches connected to Google Home (I can use this to turn on/off lights at night to make it seem someone is home)
For the security system
- I want to have audible alarm for window or door opening
- I want to have cameras to cover 360 around the house
- I want to have online access to view camera feeds and control system via mobile or web
- I need advice on whether I should connect the system to local PD.
Appreaciate any feedback and advice.
