I like my little reolink E1 Pro’s but concerned about the China connection. I don’t need much and I need it cheaply.

I just got 2 Reolink E1 Pro’s (may trade 1 in for an E1 Zoom). They are mainly to check in on our puppy and to check in on the inside of our home when we are away, I know that if someone steals them the video will be gone. I am curious if I can remotely save any footage to my phone from the SD card . We do have a monitored alarm and a few cameras outside linked to our NVR. The nvr is older and I can’t add cameras to it, and I can’t run wires from where the Reolinks are anyway.

How concerned do I need to be about the China connection? We have no children and the cameras are not in the bedrooms. I am mainly concerned about someone getting into my laptop thru the client but have almost ZERO understanding of how to set it up so I can use the Client on the laptop and the app on my phone (which is what I mainly use-and obviously the only choice when I am out of my home wifi). I have a password on my router, password on my laptop and passwords on the Reolink client and Reolink app. Is there anything I need to do, or a better brand to consider that is at a similar price for 4k resolution w/ pan and tilt? As long as Amazon will take them back I am still in the return window.(sold by Reolink, not a 3rd party seller)
