Bought a reolink camera poe – RLC0520A

I bought a reolink camera poe – RLC0520A. I was hoping I could just turn it on with the power adapter and it would save data to the micro sd card.
Guess not. When I turn it on, it may or may not flash red, the leds around it. I can’t tell if it is on or not. I also added the micro sd card and no data.
What am I missing. Do I need to poe injector to initialize it? Is it powered up correctly. I have 12v barrell with up to 1.3 amps?
I dont like lan or wireless stuff. Is there a simple camera I can just plug in and record without lan, wireless?
