Looking for recommendation on replacing Eufy system w/recognition
As the title says I am looking to replace my Eufy 3c and Homebase 3 system. It has never stored faces as familiar and I am tired of the constant notification for people that are known. I also find if motion is triggered by my son opening the garage, when its done recording the cool down is too long. So when when he left with his brother, I couldn’t not see where they left, nor who left the door open since it did not record.
I liked the setup and interface on this Viewtron video, however, I find it difficult to justify spending $1000 on a setup (4 cameras and a NVR box).

Looked into BlueIris, but that seems rather difficult to setup. Does anyone have recommendations on a camera system, even one I cobble together, that has great AI detection? Doesn’t matter if its PoE or battery. Would kind of prefer PoE since I”m tired of charging the cameras every few months.
