I would like to “borrow” the second 6160 keypad which is currently hooked up to my existing 50P to try to test and program a factory defaulted 20P panel which I just got. I’ll just be playing around with this on my workbench (unconnected to sensors etc.).
The con address on this keypad is currently ’02’ with the 50P.
When I connect it to the 20P, my understanding is that I will have to re-assign it to ’16’.
When I want to connect it back to the 50P again, will I have to re-address it again to ’02’?
Is the addressing info stored on the keypad, or the main panel?
Just trying to wrap my head around this and not screw up my existing and working system while I tinker around. Keypads aren’t cheap so Id like to use what I have on hand. Thanks in advance!
