Please tell me if I should submit this to another sub. I received an Amazon package containing three small cameras that I did not order. No packing slip or paper work, just a package with three tiny cameras. The label was addressed to me and the Amazon label appears to be legit. I contacted Amazon (didn’t talk to any real people of course) about it, had to type in the package tracking number, and eventually got to a page that stated that if I receive an Amazon package addressed to me that I did not order, I could keep it.The boxes the cameras are packaged in have a red A9 and in smaller print is written, HD Battery IP Camera. They are quite small and look like this:
Sticker on the side of each box says something about for use with iOS and Android phones. What are these? Are the utter crap? My roommate is suspicious about malware and says I should discard them.Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

I want to build a computer for the purpose of being a security system. I’d like to stick to compression, so I can get more out of my storage.
What will I need hardware-wise? I don’t foresee ever needing more than 8 cameras. And I’d like to not spend a lot

I signed up for a program at my school called TSA and they have state competitions for certain topics like engineering, science, forensics, etc. I signed up for the cybersecurity because I already know a little bit of it from learning some of it last school year and last summer. In cybersecurity one of the competitions has us look for vulnerabilities in a website and have us exploit it somehow. I don’t really know anything about web security so what should I learn first to get a good start?

Is this poor placement for a new nest protect smoke/co alarm? Or is it ok? I’d rather not create new holes if not necessary. Thanks in advance! https://imgur.com/a/GrgpFDd submitted by /u/dsood89 [link] [comments]
