New house new locks
Hi all, Just bought a new house and want to change out the locks. I have a front door, two exterior man doors on the attached garage, and the interior garage man door leading into the house. The exterior garage door that leads to the back yard, I don’t see us using often, and it has a cracked door frame. For that, I was just thinking of getting those metal brackets where I can just drop a 2×4 in and call it good for now. It secures the door, Is easily removed in an emergency, and buys me some time until I can get the frame repaired. That leaves me with 3 doors to change the locks on. I feel like a lot of people leave the interior garage door to the house unlocked. That just kinda weird me out a little.
From what I’ve read, the Schlage B60n is one of the better dead bolts on the market. Does it come in a 3 pack(meaning keyed alike) with the dead bolt and the handle? I’m at best seeing a 2 pack. I guess at worst, I can get two two-packs. 2 house keys is better than 4! Any help, advice, suggestions, alternatives appreciated
