The Amcrest AD410 is among the most commonly recommended model on the home security/defense subreddits for its lack of subscription and RTSP capability. However, it came out in April 2021 and newer competitor models have since come out. I wondered if anyone had experience with a fairly recent model that might top Reddit’s favourite doorbell cam.
Wyze just released the Doorbell Cam v2 which looks excellent. However, Wyze has had questionable security which is a bit troubling, but more importantly, requires a subscription for alterts, whereas with Amcrest it is free.
Eufy’s cameras look nice, but the Chinese government nexus is troubling. I bought the dual cam doorbell but returned it after the security breach occurred.
I like the idea of setting up an NVR/RTSP stream but I don’t have the space for that gear nor the finances for it.
Does anything fit the bill?
