Copying my studio key fob
Hi All,
I did some research before posting, it seems this is a common thread. however I can’t find information regarding my specific fob.
I just upgraded the door on my studio to a fob reader. I want to make copies of the keys for my assistants and to have a few spares for cleaners, etc.
The locksmith quoted me $100/key to copy. Instead of spending the $700 i thought id try to copy them myself. I believe the fob is a Milfare 13.56 Mhz fob, but I’m having a hard time finding a matching code on the back. This one reads M+2k7.
I am a mac user and it seems most of the software is not compatible with macs. The Proxmark 3 seems to be the most recommended piece of hardware but I’m wondering if something simple like the ‘Bewinner 9 Frequency Handheld RFID Copier ID IC Reader Writer Duplicator Multifunctional Copy Encrypted NFC Smart Card RFID Copier ID/IC Reader Writer with HD 3.2 Inch Full Color Screen’ on amazon would work? Or do i just pay this guy to make copies for me?
