I have a Vista 20P panel with three 6160 keypads, and I’d like to upgrade them to 6290W keypads. Is this something I should hire a professional for or should I be able to do it myself? I’m very technical though admittedly more of a software person than a hardware person.
My understanding is that upgrading these will require adding an auxiliary power supply (the vendor I spoke with suggested Altronix Power Supply Charger, Single Output, 12/24VDC @ 4A, 115/220VAC, Supervision, BC300 Enclosure). This part makes me more nervous than the keypads, which I imagine is somewhat of a simple swap so long as I am able to shut down the power to the panel safely.
Anyway, I will watch some YouTube videos but wanted to get your perspective. Thank you very much in advance.

I have an insurance requirement to add centrally-monitored smoke/CO detection to my Vista20P. My understanding thus far is that the only way to do so is to install Honeywell 5800COMBO devices, which is unfortunate because:
Until I stumbled upon this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/homesecurity/comments/pqw54x/vista_and_hardwire_smokeco_detection_options/
