Hello all! Last year I purchased a 100 acre property that has 3 gas wells on it. Today a neighbor finally decided to mention that he knows of someone who has been using one of the gas wells for years and was terrified that the new owners would cut them off so it has been kept secret by everyone in the know… until now.
If they had approached me in honest fashion I would have let them continue to use it for a small fee, or even for free if I thought they didn’t have the means to pay. But since they decided to be duplicitous and theiving that is no longer on the table. I want to find the well and turn it off ASAP, but there’s no point unless I can secure the area with cameras first to catch them in the act in case they try to turn it on themselves.
I’m not entirely sure where to begin as far as cameras. Do I get trail cams with video, or do I get a legit surveillance camera that runs on battery or solar? I want multiple cameras for different angles, but also as redundancy in case they decide to steal the cameras.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! I don’t mind spending extra if it means greater chance of success. Thank you!

I saw the controller board of an immergas fan coil (hydrofs something) and it has an uart port the manual dosen’t say anything about it. Anybody know what it is used for / can be used? I don’t have the gear to connect anything to that port right now. It’s a standard 5v, tx, rx, gnd port (at least thay wrote that to the board).
