Deter burglary & home invasion
I live in a nice suburban neighborhood (typical target for burglaries from what I read) and the neighborhood has had a few break ins during daytime in the past year. Both my wife and I have day jobs so we aren’t home during the day. My house isn’t the nicest in the neighborhood, but I recently installed solar panels which I believe will make my house a potential target. Also some of my wife’s side of the family have criminal connections and live in the same city as us…
My question is what can I do to make my house less of a target and what security measures can I use?
Currently I have 8 security cameras outside, 1 inside, a 6 foot vinyl fence in my backyard (isn’t locked), all three of my doors are always deadbolted and have 4in screws in the strike plates and hinges, and there is an ADT sign at the front door and windows (not subscribed).
