Recently purchased a home and have never had a security system previously so I’m learning everything on the fly. Read through a lot of posts and think I’ve identified all the components, but confused how they all connect together. It is possible there are two security systems in this house…but both are disconnected and passwords unknown to both.
Under the stairwell is a Vista 20P or 15P. There are connections to various hardwired sensors, which are the brown sensors in the images. On the top left of this box is a Honeywell Home – Ethertronics P822601 board cellular modem. It is currently not connected to anything on the Vista 20P.
At the home entryway is a Qolsys IQ Panel 2. This unit requires a user or installer password and none of the typical ones I found online worked. Pretty sure this is connected to the wireless white sensors throughout the homes.
And then in the bedroom is a Honeywell 6150 keypad. I assume this connected to the Vista 20P/15P.

So my understanding is the Vista 20P and Qolsys are completely different systems and are NOT being used together. Likely someone upgraded to the wireless Qolsys and kept the Vista unit there to collect dust.
If this is all correct – my questions are: how should I fix/upgrade this system to make it active? I’d like to do self-monitoring, no monthly fee, ability to get alerts on cell phone of an alarm and that’s it. I’m locked out of the Qolsys system, so I could replace that entirely and forgo the Vista. Or I could add the Envisalink 4 module to the Vista panel to enable remote access via home assistant. But what do I put in place of the Qolsys panel for a standard keypad at the entry way? The Ring retrofit kit looks compelling but really don’t want/need a third-party monitoring service or monthly fee.
Appreciate the help.
