Vista20p system question

I moved into a new house recently and it has the vista20p system installed. Unfortunately, the previous buyers didn’t leave the installer or master code as they mentioned it was set up by the homeowner before them.

Anyways, the alarm was only set for chime mode across all of the zones on the ground floor. This is actually what my fiance and I prefer so we liked this feature. One day, one of the zones stopped working and I was trying to troubleshoot through some YouTube videos, and I somehow managed to arm the whole system and then cause it to go off. Since then, I’ve had the device unplugged including the battery and tried countlessly with default installer and master codes to see if I could disarm. And that didn’t work.

Then, I was able to research a backdoor programming code by holding * and # key.

That seems to work and I was able to actually get somewhere since it showed a code of 20 displaying.

I couldn’t change the master and installer codes no matter what I tried so I decided to at least try and set it back to where all the zones had a chime, however I kept receiving a not ready for each zone. Fortunately each zone was still being recognized as i tested to make sure the connections were active.

No matter what I did, I wasn’t able to set it back. I tried entering the zone code (eg. 01), the type field (*20), changing to chime 09 and *to exit, but it wouldn’t activate and instead I would get an 09 and 107 check not ready.

Sorry for the long note, but anything I can do to circumvent this issue?
