My small business has a nice security camera and recorder setup at our main office, but nothing at our remote showroom/retail shop. It’s tiny – about 600 square feet. We’re only open 3 days/week there, and our team takes turns working there one at a time.

Recently we’ve had a couple of weirdos wander in to that store, and our one employee who was there alone felt unsafe. So I want at least 2 indoor cameras.

It sounds like POE & NVR are the best setups but correct me if not. We’ll likely go with the domed cameras like seen at most retail stores.

Should I match all the components by buying a kit, or is it OK to build my setup using Brand A cameras with Brand B NVR? Most kits have 4+ cameras, which is why I’m considering options.

BTW we want to be able to monitor remotely.
