How to stop a car?
I’ve lived in my home for about 5 years now, and the one thing I can’t figure out how to protect against is a car hitting my home. Some background; I’m a corner home on a fairly busy street that has two lanes of eastbound traffic directly next to it. In the 5 years here we’ve had 7 accidents at my intersection. One of the accidents a vehicle was t-boned and flipped onto its side hitting the fire hydrant, and another was a hit and run that totaled a rental vehicle of mine.
What can I put at the perimeter of my yard that would stop a vehicle traveling at rates of 50-60 mph? My wife wants a fence for the piece of mind, but I know that won’t stop anything. I’ve considered large rocks, but I’m not sure how large I would need. Anyone in a similar situation solve for this?
