Trying to replace a broken keypad with a new one.

Hi there!

My current house has an old ADT system that used to be active but did away with the monitoring and only have it as a passive alarm in case someone comes in, we have some really loud external sirens that ca be heard down the road.

What I know about this system is that it was an ADT system installed in our first home early 2000s, then we built another house in late 2010 and transferred the system over as just a passive system. Still works, but the keypad is shitting the bed, and turning it off is an affair of panic, and shoving your finger into the keypad to get ti register the digits needed to shut the alarm off.

Said keypad on the wall. This is a replacement keypad that was installed years ago to replace the original ADT one that looked like this. Here is the control box(?) to where everything is wired.

How do I go about replacing the keypad? The guy who used to come out and do our stuff died during covid so…… plz halp.

Id like to be able to just get the system up and fully functional (actually be able to arm and disarm it with the panic that it’s gonna go off), but if I could upgrade without having to get ADT involved, im open to listen to all options!

Thanks!
