New Homeserver input for setting up Reolink Camera NVR/Homeserver
Please read below for my current setup and what I plan on doing next. Need some input as to what my best option should be. I posted this previously but added an additional item to the list.
 Current Setup:
 – Mini PC N100 with OpenMediaVault + CasaOS + Docker (My NAS)
3TB of SSD storage and connected to 16TB of WD External Easystore drive
Running mostly Tailscale, Jellyfin, and Immich
 – Mini PC with n5095 (My Media Streaming Server**)*\*
Running Kodi and connected to TV. Typically used for Pluto TV or streaming from my Jellyfin.
Option based on owned hardware:
 – N95 Mini PC with 8GB of RAM that is currently not in use**.*\*
But I want to create a backup NAS that can potentially backup my media library from my N100 NAS.
I am purchasing cameras and would like a NVR that records footage and keeps for long time. Would like this footage to be captured and stored in this backup NAS.
I expect this to be on 24/7, unlike the other 2 Mini PCs.
I was gifted a DAS and 2x4TB SMR Hard Drives that I was planning to use with this Mini PC.
– Ryzen 2600 full ATX board Desktop Computer as server *Currently not in use\*
I own the Ryzen 2600 CPU, cooler, board, 16 GB of 3200 Mhz RAM, SSD hard drive for OS, and 2×4 TB SMR drives.
Per my current setup, is what I want to do with the N95 Mini PC worth it? Would it make more sense to just pick up a Synology 2-Bay DiskStation DS223j (Diskless)? I already have the drives that I can utilize to mirror and record, although SMR might not be best for NVR usage.
Other option is to save the money and use what I got with the N95 and the DAS. I also have my previous desktop with all the hardware to utilize that as a 24/7 server however I’m worried about electricity cost of a 2600 CPU (plus needing a graphics card).
My major use cases for this new HomeServer:
 – Frigate or another NVR (I am installing Reolinks around my place)
 – Backup NAS to create offsite/offroom backups from my N100 Mini PC which sits in my room next to my desktop.
 Thank you
