Help with choosing cameras, complete newbie/ignorant

I’ve read thru some posts but I don’t understand most of the lingo.

I don’t want an entire security system, I only want 2 cameras, one for the back porch and one for the front porch

My back porch has an electrical outlet but my front porch does not. It will have to be battery powered

Currently I have one wyze outdoor camera on the back porch that is plugged in and it records 24/7 but the motion detection is terrible. My car got broken into a few days ago and it didnt detect the motion, i literally had to scroll through hours and hours of footage to find it (which i did thankfully)

Also even though I am paying for the yearly subscription, I am not getting all the features and I have contacted customer service multiple times and they just ask for some sort of debug log and that’s it. Nothing ever happens after.

I like that it records 24/7, do all cameras do this or does it just do that because it’s plugged in? It is the only camera I’ve ever had

I considered just getting a 2nd wyze but that comes back to me being mad that they won’t fix whatever is wrong with my account. The subscription is supposed to make it so that it records back to back and records more than 12 seconds but it still only records 12 seconds and tells me “to get back to back recording upgrade to cam plus” and when I go to upgrade it tells me I’m already upgraded (which I know I am)

The reason I want cameras is to keep an eye on my pets. I don’t need home security (the car break in thing has been taken care of and is irrelevant)
