Identifying Cables

I’ve been looking into options for wired security cameras, and in doing so ran into some confusion with the cables already in the house.

The house has been pre-wired with all kinds of cables leading to a central location. All currently terminate in bare wires with no connectors.

I’ve identifeid a couple of Cat6 cables which lead to spots outside the house. No problem there.

Then there are 5 or 6 other cables which I’m not sure about. I can see “Datolex JSC .5 Security Cable” printed on them. Each cable has 4 wires inside (black, red, white and blue). Some are marked “lounge”, “hallway” etc, and a couple more have “alarm” or “siren” (I forget exactly).

Now doing my reasearch on different cameras, I cannot figure out how to use these cables. They aren’t ethernet or coaxial, which seem to be the main types of cables for modern cameras. The ones marked witih locations, I was able to trace to points high up where a camera would be. Maybe they are supposed to be used for something else?
