To be specific, I have a bat house on my shop. I participate in a bat research project. Currently I use a Lorex 4K security cam system with infrared to capture and record 24 hr footage of the base of the house showing bats leaving and reentering at night.
I want to install IR capable mini cams inside the roost.
Must haves:
POE, external storage capability (I don’t want to retrieve memory cards), small dimensions of 1 inch or less. A microphone is a desirable option but not necessary.
I have wifi in my shop. Remote access to my hard drive would be nice. Bonus Points if the mini cams are compatible with my Lorex storage (POE).
If you have ideas about cobbling together a system, or if you have suitable alternatives to what I claim are must haves, please share.
