Help with DSC zones. Auto-bypass in *9 mode?

I have a DSC-1832. I’m looking for either a zone type or method (partitions?) for the window sensors in my house. My windows are logically grouped in “upstairs” and “downstairs” groups.

Here’s what I’d like:

Stay mode

  • Upstairs windows can be opened (no alarm)
  • Downstairs windows can be opened (no alarm)

Away mode

  • Upstairs windows instant alarm
  • Downstairs windows instant alarm

*9 mode (No-entry arming)

  • Upstairs windows can be opened (no alarm)
  • Downstairs windows instant alarm

I’m looking at some of the zone types and I don’t know if they’d help me. e by removing the Entry Delay from configured zones, arming all perimeter sensors, bypassing all interior sensors.”

I’m looking at some of the zone types and I’m not really sure if they’d help me.

  • [31] Day zone – I’m not sure what this does. Keypad beep when faulted while unarmed but instant for all other armed modes?
  • [32] Instant stay/away – it seems like this is what I want for the downstairs windows, but I don’t think it will instant alarm during no-entry arming.
  • [37] Night zone – again, I’m not sure what this one does.

Is there a zone or method that can do what I’m looking for? Am I SOL and need to set the downstairs windows to [03] Instant and bypass all the sensors (~7 zones) for stay mode and no-entry arming?
