Hi all, I just bought a new house that comes with dahua NVR (Dahua DHI-NVR4104HS-4P-4KS2) + 3 security cameras. I connected everything myself and when using a monitor, I can see the live stream from the cameras, no problem.
The main problem I got is that I don’t know the admin password, making it hard for me to configure anything else or set up the phone app.
The system is setup with credentials from a security supplier nearby, so the previous owner doesn’t know the password.
I was reading about resetting the NVR to factory default, so I can start again. I looked into this wiki https://www.securitywholesalers.com.au/faqs/reset-the-dahua-nvr-to-default/ but I was worried that if I do that, the existing cameras would also need reset, forcing me to unscrew them and set them up from scratch?
Is there anything I can do to factory reset the unit without the need to remove the cameras? Or am I simply locked down to this security supplier forever? I would like to have full access to the unit and not depend on an external company.
