Watch moment Putin stormtroopers surrender to a drone after spending three days trapped as they ‘refuse to die for Vlad’

RUSSIAN soldiers holed up for three days in a trench and surrounded by Ukrainian troops finally surrendered – after being told to by a drone.

Extraordinary footage shows nine Russian assault troops holding a white flag on a stick and snaking towards a Ukrainian stronghold in the Donetsk region after being lured out.

Ukrainian fighters used drones mounted with speakers to secure the surrender of a group of Russian soldiers on the frontline.

The Putin stormtroopers were not ready to die for the dictator in what could be the final weeks of the war, it seems, as one captured Russian revealed how they were becoming beaten down.

The Russian troops were demoralised by the appalling number of corpses of their own side, according to testimony from POWs.

They also highlighted how quickly after deployment to the front they end up in Ukrainian hands.

One revealed he had been fighting for less than two weeks before his capture and the final days of this short stint were spent hopelessly surrounded by enemy fighters.

After trapping the Russian troops, Ukraine operators buzzed their trenches with the speaker drone, encouraging them for three days to surrender.

Members of Ukraine’s 25th Separate Airborne Sicheslav Brigade recorded the messages in Russian to offer the enemy fighters a way to save their lives.

The message told them repeatedly: “Surrender if you want to live. Walk towards the railway.”

“The brigade’s fighters tried to use a drone with a loudspeaker, which convinced the Russians to surrender for three days, and this  eventually worked,” said a statement.

“The Russians themselves were extremely demotivated – according to one of the prisoners, he crossed the border with Ukraine less than a month ago, and was immediately stunned by the number of corpses of his fellow countrymen.”

An Ukrainian fighter said: “We always get new devices, and when this ‘talker’ [drone with loud speaker] appeared we recorded a message to encourage the Russians to surrender.

“It worked well. We flew the drone around for about three days with different messages, continuously playing them for different groups.”

The drone trumpeted the message: “Walk towards the railway.”

“Everyone who was supposed to storm us,  we pressed until they gave in,” said a Ukrainian.

“Everyone is coming to us, completely surrendering.

“That’s it, our men have already taken them in.…What a sight! Nine people.”

Drone footage shows the nine uneasy Russian soldiers slowly emerging from their trench waving a white flag on a stick and holding their arms in the air.

A deflated Russian fighter explained why he obeyed the drone loudspeaker call to surrender.

“Our side were putting [the bodies] in pile after pile, quickly checking military ID tag, and then driving [the corpses] away,” he said.

“There were so many trucks deployed to do it.

“It broke me down, the realisation of just how many [killed] there were….”

One of the captives made clear he wanted to be swapped – and then get away from the war in Russia’s wild taiga.

“Yes, I do hope to be exchanged, and I hope to somehow be done with it, to go into the wilderness or I don’t know what,” he said.

“I crossed the border with Ukraine on 22 January 2025 in the Donetsk region, and here I am in less than two weeks.”

It comes as the future of the conflict is uncertain, with a possible peace deal arrange between US President Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin on the horizon.

But President Zelensky has said his country will not accept a deal negotiated between Trump and Putin without Ukraine’s involvement.

The fate of the country is hanging in the balance as world powers meeting in Munich and tensions continue to mount.

On Wednesday night, Trump announced immediate negotiations to end the war in Ukraine after speaking with Putin by phone for 90 minutes.

But Zelensky has warned the West against trusting Putin amid fears his embattled nation is being frozen out of peace talks with Russia.

He has been backed by allies including Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, who insisted that Ukraine must play a central role in negotiations to end the three-year conflict.

Meanwhile, Trump is continuing to push on seemingly ignoring fellow leaders and warning from Ukraine to arrange a meeting with Putin in Saudi Arabia as he says he wants Russia back in G7 group.

The European Commission has fired a warning to the White House about continuing to show engagement with Russia.

President Ursula von der Leyen said: “A failed Ukraine would weaken Europe but it would also weaken the United States.”

She insisted that any peace deal needs to be lasting to ensure “the horrors of the last three years are never repeated again.”

Trump and Putin’s relationship

Donald Trump has a history of positive and admiring comments about strongman Vladimir Putin.

They have long prompted criticism from his rivals that he is “soft on Russia”.

Trump rejects that, saying that no US president was ever tougher on Moscow and that a US president needs a relationship with the Russian leader.

Trump said he “got along great” with him during his first term where they met in person five times and nine publicly reported phone conversations.

Since the start of his second term, however, Trump has criticised Putin’s conduct of the “ridiculous” Ukraine war and said that the conflict is “destroying” Russia.

Trump has threatened more sanctions on Russia if it didn’t come to the negotiating table over Ukraine.

Putin’s deranged wish list & deadline for Trump talks revealed as delusional Vlad dreams of new Soviet empire

VLADIMIR Putin is expected to make a number of deranged demands when he finally meets Donald Trump for Ukraine peace talks in order to continue his reign of tyranny.

The Russian dictator is believed to want to ensure his delusional dreams of a new and powerful Soviet empire won’t be blocked by any deal with the US president.

Russia illegally invaded Ukraine almost three years ago with talks only just starting over securing an end to the conflict[/caption]

Putin illegally invaded Ukraine almost three years ago with many fearing the initial international takeover is only step one on his journey to European domination.

Those who have spoken to Vlad claim his main ambition has always been to establish a new security framework that allows Russia to have a strong Soviet-sphere of influence in Europe.

Some believe he may even be looking to bring back a group similar to what Joseph Stalin managed with the Yalta conference at the end of World War Two.

It saw Stalin join forces with US President Franklin D. Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill to discuss end-of-war procedures in 1945.

The latest president, Mr Trump has already spoken about meeting with Putin after the pair shared a positive phone call on Wednesday.

Both made it clear they believe an end to the war is in sight – but many have concerns it will come at the expense of Ukraine.

The US was accused of rolling over to Russia before negotiations had even started.

Over the past few days, those close to The White House have said Ukraine won’t be allowed to go back to its 2014 borders before the annexing of Crimea.

This would allow Moscow to keep all of the land they have stolen since invading in 2022 and make their own borders much wider.

US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has also been adamant that there is no chance Ukraine would be allowed to join Nato.

Brave Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has long been campaigning with European leaders to grant Kyiv membership.

It would give the eastern European state a clear sense of security from the other Nato partners and allow them to fend off any further Putin attacks.

Zelensky has also warned that Putin is planning to wage war with Nato in 2026 and the West needed to prepare to fight.

Moscow has always maintained if Ukraine was given membership then they would feel betrayed and react with aggression.

The issue of Nato is one of the major hurdles that needs to be overcome should Moscow and Kyiv come to the negotiating table soon.

Many founding members of the organisation have voiced their support for Ukraine’s addition.

British PM Sir Keir Starmer said on Friday that Ukraine is on an “irreversible path to Nato” in a phone call with Zelensky, a Downing Street spokeswoman said.

But despite the backing, with the US set to mediate over any conversations, it could play directly into Vlad’s evil hands.

Putin will also be pressing for an end to banking and industrial sanctions as well as travel curbs on Russians imposed following his illegal invasion three years ago.

Another topic under discussion is a $500bn deal for American access to Ukraine’s rare earth minerals as a way of paying for Washington‘s continuing military support.

Zelensky has already warned the West against trusting Putin – amid fears his embattled nation is being frozen out of peace talks.

He admitted playing second fiddle to the Russian invaders was “not very pleasant” and urged world leaders to consider their options.

Nato chief Mark Rutte said it was crucial Kyiv was closely involved in any talks about the war in Ukraine after months of Putin threats.

Mr Hegseth has maintained the US is only helping both nations reach an amicable conclusion to the bloodshed.

He said earlier this week: “There is no betrayal there. There is a recognition that the whole world and the United States is invested and interested in peace.

“That will require both sides recognising things they don’t want to.”

What is Trump’s Ukraine plan?

TRUMP has already revealed he has a concrete plan in place to end the war and hopes to finalise it “fast.”

Before he took office last month, Trump ambitiously vowed to find a resolution within days.

Any new deal is said to involve Putin stopping in his tracks and finally putting to an end Russia’s steadily advancing front line.

European soldiers, including Brits, could then be used to guarantee Putin doesn’t invade again by policing a demilitarised zone.

Crucially for Trump and Putin’s relationship, this wouldn’t include American soldiers, say reports.

In return, Ukraine would be barred from joining Nato and would have to declare neutrality.

The country could still join the EU in 2030, and Trump would want the bloc to drive Ukraine’s postwar reconstruction.

The US would continue to support Ukraine’s military, but Kyiv would have to accept Russian ownership of the land Moscow has seized.

The alleged outline for peace was leaked to Ukrainian news outlet Strana – but Zelensky’s office slammed it as Russian disinformation.

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth addressed a potential deal on Wednesday at a meeting of Ukraine’s military allies at the Nato headquarters in Brussels.

He said a return to Ukraine’s pre-2014 borders before Vlad’s illegal invasion was unrealistic – meaning Russia would be able to keep the land it has stolen.

Hegseth added that his administration doesn’t see any circumstance where Kyiv would be allowed to join Nato.

His speech was regarded as the bluntest statement made by the US on how they believe the conflict can be stopped so far.

Trump’s Vice President JD Vance is due to meet Zelensky in person at the Munich Security Conference today.

The pair are expected to discuss the recent developments with Vance already making his feelings clear on the situation.

He warned Russia that Washington could hit them with sanctions if it doesn’t agree to a fair peace deal.

The US could even send troops to Ukraine if Putin doesn’t negotiate in good faith in order to force the tyrant to play fair.

VLAD’S SOVIET NIGHTMARE

Many global leaders have raised concerns over Putin’s potential plans regardless of if Moscow accepts a deal or not.

Even if Russia is allowed to bully their way into a positive agreement to keep Ukraine out of Nato and keep control of the land they’ve stolen, Putin may still not be content.

Spy chiefs have warned of an acute threat from the Kremlin saying the tyrant is looking to start a major war within Europe within the next five years.

Intelligence from Denmark has assessed the Russian despot’s military capacity claiming he could be ready to spark wars with neighbouring regions.

The unclassified assessment said: “Russia perceives itself as being in conflict with the West and is preparing for a war against Nato.

“While no decision to initiate such a war has been made, Russia is building the capacity to make that choice if deemed necessary.”

The report added that the expansion has shifted from restoration to “an intensified military buildup aimed at waging war against NATO”.

Putin is believed to be hoping for a fragmented Nato which is “militarily weakened or politically divided” to help him pull off his plan.

Georgia and Moldova – both ex-Soviet states – are seen as potentially the most at risk.

Within two years, the report claims Moscow could pose a significant threat to countries in the Baltic states.

This could leave EstoniaLatvia and Lithuania, all ex-USSR, in his line of sight.

Putin’s ‘victory parade’

VLAD, who is set to view this week as a “triumph”, is already appearing to plan out his celebrations should he land a deal which favours the Kremlin.

He has been open about wanting to host both Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping at a massive Victory Day military parade in Moscow.

The scheming tyrant has invited the presidents to the huge military pageant in Red Square on May 9.

Putin aims to bask in the adulation of his people for ending the war in the coming weeks, possibly as early as Easter on April 20.

The Victory Parade – the biggest annual event in the Russian calendar – marks the defeat of the Nazis in 1945 and will, this year, mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the war in Europe.

Trump has also said he would be open to meeting Putin in Saudi Arabia at an even earlier date.

It comes as Trump’s former national security adviser John Bolton said Moscow has managed to secure a very favourable position with the US.

He said: “I think Putin couldn’t be happier.

“I tell you, they’re drinking vodka straight out of the bottle in the Kremlin.”
