Vietnam’s communist government has scrapped its long-standing policy of limiting families to two children, state media said Wednesday, as the country battles to reverse a declining birth rate.

Medical staff and administrative workers at Garrahan Hospital, a leading paediatric centre in Buenos Aires, staged a protest to demand urgent salary increases from President Javier Milei’s government.

“Uranium enrichment is the key to our nuclear programme and the enemies have focused on the enrichment,” Khamenei said in a televised speech. The US proposal “contradicts our nation’s belief in self-reliance and the principle of ‘We Can’,” he said.
