Baby boy dies after being snatched and dumped in water barrel by ‘aggressive’ gang of monkeys

A GANG of monkeys have reportedly drowned a two-month-old baby after snatching him as he slept.

The child was kidnapped from his bed and was found by his heartbroken parents submerged in a water drum, according to local media.

He was rushed to a hospital in Uttar Pradesh but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The monkeys are believed to have entered the house in the village of Surajpur and carried the infant away as his family were completing daily chores.

Panic soon set in for the parents after they noticed their son was nowhere to be found.

They began searching frantically for any trace of the boy and eventually heard faint cries from the rooftop.

Upon investigation, they discovered the child inside a water-filled drum.

Police responded to the scene, conducted a preliminary inquiry, and sent the body for a postmortem examination.

The incident has left the local community shaken and grieving.

Residents say this tragedy highlights a long-standing issue with aggressive monkey behaviour in the area.

Villagers are now urging authorities to implement effective measures to prevent further loss of life and ensure public safety.

The tragedy comes after a similar case from 2022 when another two-month-old infant was dragged from a terrace and thrown into a water tank by monkeys.

CCTV footage showed the moment Keshav Kumar was carried away by the dangerous primates.

It was speculated that the kidnapping plot may have been led by a female money who had lost her own child.

A local veterinarian claimed the grieving monkey could have mistaken the infant for her own lost child before dumping it once she realised.

India is known to be overrun by rampant monkeys in certain regions.

In Eastern India, one cheeky primate was caught breaking into a railway office and popping himself down at a computer to do some work.

According to reports, the grey langur broke into the office and began mimicking the staff copying what he’s seen the humans do.

It follows another attack on a newborn in Tanzania.

The one-month-old was being breastfed by his mum outside the family home when he was snatched away by a monkey.

Horror footage also emerged in 2022 showing the moment a toddler was snatched by a monkey and dragged away by her hair as she played outside on her scooter.

DESPITE often being adorable looking creatures, monkeys are known to harass, beat, rob and even kidnap humans in broad daylight.

In China, a young girl was taken by a monkey as she played outside on her scooter.

The small girl was left with scratches across her face after she was rescued from the vicious attack in China’s Chongqing Municipality on Tuesday.

A video showed the monkey sneak up on the girl as she she played in the streets, throwing her to the ground before attempting to drag her away.

MUTILATION

The Sun revealed the devastating aftermath of a horrific monkey attack that left a two-month-year-old baby mutilated.

The predator attacked when the baby was in the living room while his mother was in the kitchen.

When she heard her seven-week-old crying, the mum ran into the living room to find her bloodied son on the floor and the animal standing near the front door of the house.

The capital’s population has skyrocketed in the last thirty years, leading to more monkeys in the street as their habitats are destroyed for housing.

The fiendish beasts are known to break into houses and chase people off the streets.

Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia has had to resort to “anti-monkey bins” made with heavy lids to stop them from being raided, The Guardian reported.
