I was fairly content for years using my google wired doorbell and two google outdoor cameras.
After a while like all products, the internal battery faded, and it failed. so I got the brand new, shiny wireless battery powered “Nest” doorbell, and was utterly disappointed.
First of all their “Nest” doorbell is NOT COMPATIBLE WITH NEST. (What?!), which was a UE I was really comfortable with keeping an eye on my house while I was one the road. Now I am told they are retiring nest soon, so this camera with the interface I liked will not be a thing.
Then, I realized that the camera on this “New” “Nest” doorbell, is some of the worst quality of any camera I have seen in years and reminds me of the blurry pictures taken on a Motorola Razr in 2000, regardless of the fact that I set bandwidth to Max., and have a fiber optic gigabit connection.
Now, I am constantly getting “Live view unavailable” error and I can’t see the camera view, but if I press “retry” it will come back on. I have tried deleting, re-installing, and every possible configuration of control changes but this absolute piece just refuses even the most basic functions.
OK enough complaining. I need some recommendations for a better doorbell. I am actually still cool with my next outdoor cameras, just not the doorbell. I need a doorbell that will alert me on my phone remotely, with a fairly high resolution camera, 2-way intercom, 30-day memory and facial recognition. (Basically all the things I had with google nest , even though the picture was not very high quality)

Any recommendations for e better doorbell?
