If existing Ring clients with older non-PoE+ Ring devices who cannot afford newest Ring PoE+ and they are affected by thieves with Wi-Fi jammers, then what is the point in continuing Ring subscription service? For only monitor package deliveries and nocturnal wandering raccoons and cats?
In my area, thieves are increasingly using low-cost Wi-Fi jammers ($30–$70) to deactivate Ring doorbells and cameras by disrupting the 2.4GHz signal, creating gaps in recordings and preventing live alerts.
Appears that Ring’s solution for customers having older models, is to purchase and upgrade to expensive Ring Elite PoE+. Is this true?
I have three older model WiFi devices installed 5+ years ago. Can any of these be converted into PoE?:
After looking over what Ring’s products are available for PoE+ conversion for older Ring devices, it appears to be no solution: https://ring.com/search?q=PoE
Feedback? Advice?
Thank you
