looking to DIY a replacement for vivint
looking to replace a vivint system (vivint is quite possibly the worst company ive ever worked with). My system is 2 exterior cameras, a doorbell camera, a smart deadbolt, and the panel. I use the nest integration, and a smart garage door opener, and the vivint app. I have been looking at surety but all their stuff says its for alarm.com users and i have no idea what that is aside from their homepage.
my goals with this system is to only be connected to the internet enough to get an app to work. I’m not looking to have any monitoring or any other ties to any company that could put me through anything like vivint did. I hope to retain at least the exterior camera, doorbell, deadbolt, and app functionalities.
Will surety play by my rules? just scared of getting trapped with another shitty company.
