I am not sure whether his friend bought the 3MP or 5MP version, but let’s assume we are talking about the 5MP version.
I myself being skeptical of unknown brands decided to do a little bit of research and found this one, which goes for the same money in my country as the camera in the link above.

Which one would you choose? My father really wants the best home security for that type of money, which is basically 50-60$ maximum per security camera.
