Can someone help me out what does this mean exactly email I received. Is this an attempted phishing attack on me….
Hello fellow Redditers. So I recently received two emails the other day from life360. One went to my inbox the other went to my spam folder. The one that went to my inbox had my ex baby mama name on it and it said she enabled data protection but was addressed to my email. When we was together we never had that shit. The email that went to my spam was a life360 password reset. I’m no dummy and I been teaching my self alot of this hacking stuff. So b4 confronting her I 1st go to the official life360 website and put in my email and click forgot password of course it said no records of my email was found in there system. I go back and check the message source for the 2 messages the one that went to my inbox it all checked out. Then the one that went to my spam was full of Xs but this is what really got my gears turning is when I seen this. PHPMailer 6.6.4 (https:github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer) I know what github is used for i cloned many repositories from git but as I said I’m still somewhat a beginner. I ran the IPs in the message source but I know those can be made to look like they came from the actual source if I’m not mistaken. I know she has a grudge cause I ended up with our daughter full time. What gets me going is finding github in the email that went to spam but not the one that went to inbox it’s obviously fake emails both because even the official Life360 website had no records of my email…..
