I just connected an old DSC 5010 board back up, wired the power to the transformer and it’s been on and active for a few hours now. I’ve been testing different doors and zones and triggering the alarm. The heat sink it VERY hot to the touch and the panel the board is mounted to is warm. The transformer plugged into the outlet socket is pretty warm too… backup battery cool to the touch.
I’d burn myself if I a left finger on the heat sink on the board. Is this normal?
