DSC Panel "Communication Error" :(

We haven’t had this system actually monitored for close to 10 years. We arm it only when we go to bed as it will sound of course if there is an “illegal” entry from outside. And then we disarm it in the morning. Early this morning, while armed, we were awaken by a regular “beep” from the system, accompanied by the yellow “Trouble” light due to a “Communication Error”.

I disarmed it and the warning beep stopped but the yellow light remains. I disconnected the battery for awhile but after reconnecting eventually the issue returned ie beep + light.

I am not sure why the error has arisen for as I had mentioned this system hasnt been monitored for over a decade?

Is there anything I can do via the panel so I can still arm it at night and remove the error and beep alerts?
