Paradox UC300 help

Trying to program an alarm system from a previous owner and run into a problem that I hope someone can help.

The system is a Paradox Esprit, with a UC300/ IP150 module. I am able to program the Esprit to work locally no problem, but I am at a loss about the UC300.

Basically the Esprit is an ancient beast that was introduced when alarm reporting was done thru an old fashion POT line. The IP150 is a module that can work with certain Paradox panels that allows them to send alarm report via the internet instead of the POT network. However Esprit isn’t one of them.

This is where the UC300 fits in. The UC300 is a module that can convert the Contact ID sent by the Esprit panel (or any panel that talks CID) and converts them into a format that the IP150 can understand. It connects to the ring and tip terminal of the alarm panel.

My problem is that there is nowhere in the documentation of the UC300 that talks about how to set up the alarm panel to work with it. Normally you would enable center monitoring on the panel and setup the monitoring station phone number and it would dial the number using the phone line. Obviously this wont be the case anymore since the panel dont have a phone line to dial anymore. But if you dont fill them in the panel wont report anything. I tried to fill in a dummy number instead but I dont think it is doing anything.

The whole system was working before so I am sure it is just a matter of the programming.

Anyone has experience with Paradox UC300 can help?
