Is Doxxing Threat Real?
Hi everyone, I am new here, so I hope this is the right place to ask.
I recently received a doxxing threat on TikTok. I’m not sure why, but someone got very angry at one of my comments (I don’t exactly know why, it was complimenting the kitchen decor in OP’s new kitchen reno, maybe they thought I was being sarcastic? Anyways they were extremely angry and I was baffled). They claimed to have my name and email and said they would get my address. I’d like to know if you think they were just bluffing?
For context, my TikTok account has a different name from both myself and my other social media accounts like Facebook or Twitter (similar to only my google account, but not identical, and there are others with similar names when I checked). I have no social media linked to the account, no personal information in my bio, no public posts, and no profile photo. Was this just a bully trying to upset me or was this information clear to them? And if it is, what would you suggest I do about it and how worried should I be?
Sorry for the long post!
