What I want to know is whether the police are willing to use their facial recognition database on your behalf. Let’s say your home security camera captures the face of a would be burglar very clearly in high definition. Can you take that video to the police and have them compare the face to all the faces in their database? Does any company make home security cameras that connect directly to the police’s facial recognition database?
