On the Subject of SSH
Not sure if this should be here or on r/linux but advise which and I’ll act accordingly.
So I’ve been dabbling with some introductory lessons in Cyber Security (I’m a Cyber Security major and am getting a leg up with Tryhackme and the CompTIA A+ Exam, aspiring to be a Red Hat) and I’m practicing using Kali rn and am covering the basics of SSH and I’ve had a thought:
A friend of mine is also fairly interested in Linux and I was wondering, if we were to set up a Linux machine with a static IP, could we constantly SSH into it when needed and have our own makeshift Linux server of sorts for file storing and conversation?
Is there an easier option that I’m missing? (Trying to not use standard messaging apps like Discord or anything.)
Thank you for any and all responses, I’ll try to respond to as much as I can.
Have a lovely day!
