Ten issues to watch in 2026: the event and the publication

EPRS traditionally opens the year with a look ahead to the issues and trends that will be high on the EU agenda. On Wednesday 14 January it presented its outlook ‘Ten issues to watch in 2026’, a publication that has already reached its tenth edition. Introducing a high-level panel of expert speakers to a fully-packed auditorium, Sarah Sheil, Director of the Members’ Research Service, underlined the need not just to watch, but to act and to protect Europe’s autonomy and security.
