French author Laurent Guyénot said in an interview aired on Channel 4 (Iran) on January 23 and 24, 2023 that Israel, its lobby, and a network of Jewish Mossad operatives are responsible for the 9/11 attack. He said that the motive behind the attack was to reverse the bad public image of Israel in the eyes of Americans and Europeans and to cause them to have a negative opinion of Arabs so that they will follow an “imperialistic” Zionist plan to start a world war. Guyénot also said that the Israel “lobby” is a source of corruption. The interview is part of a series running on Channel 4 (Iran) four times per week in which Iranian writer and translator Arash Darya-Bandar interviews Western Holocaust deniers, antisemites, and conspiracy theorists.The MEMRI Lantos Project exposes anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial in the Middle East region and Middle Eastern communities in the West with the aim of supporting legislation and educating media and the general public.

Lebanese international affairs expert Abdo Laqis spoke about the recent Quran-burning protest attended by Swedish politician Rasmus Paludan in a January 23, 2023 show on Al-Masirah TV (Houthis-Yemen). He claimed that the Swedes engage in human trafficking and “sell” the children of Muslim refugees to homosexual families who rape them and “rent them out for disgraceful and immoral acts.” Laqis also said that Muslims don’t need Western countries, but that the West needs Muslim countries because of their resources.

Iranian expert on the Middle East Dr. Masoud Asadollahi said in a January 22, 2023 show on Al-Etejah TV (Iraq) warned that if Britain and the E.U. designate the IRGC as a terrorist organization, Iran will “respond in kind.” He said that Iran could in turn designate the British army as a “terrorist army,” that the world’s fuel reserves are close to Iran, and that international supporters of Iran could retaliate, similarly to the young man who recently stabbed Salman Rushdie. Asadollahi warned against playing with fire, saying that the fire might spread all over the region and the world.
