Looking for CCTV recommendation.

Hi, I’m looking for a set of CCTV’s that will be placed around my storage/garage . They are not close to my house, that is why I’m looking for a set that can be connected to the internet, and will allow me to view the cameras from my phone when I’m away or at home. I’m completely new to CCTV camera systems so I’m looking for recommendations.

I’m looking for 4 standard cameras and 2 wide angle cameras. Each can be connected to power and internet cable. They don’t have to be connected via wifi or wireless. I also want the video files to be saved on hard drives and not cloud. Another feature I’m looking for is that I can view each camera through an app on my phone away from the garage.

I’m looking for any usefull information that will help me pick a set of CCTV cameras. Any recommendations on sets of cameras, brands , types of systems etc.

I will appreciate the help. Thanks.

Poor Security Webcams

I was looking at Shodan webacam IP’s and they all ask for a login and password, and I looked at the source code and saw this : “` <script language=”JavaScript”> Cookie=”RootCookie00000″;

//if (Cookie != “OtherCookie0000”) //{ // //document.write(“<meta http-equiv=REFRESH content=0;url=LiveView.html”); //window.location=”LiveView.html”; //} if (Cookie == “RootCookie00000″) { window.location=”admin_index.html”; } if (Cookie == “UserCookie00000″) { window.location=”user_index.html”; } </script> “`

I edited my cookie from OtherCookie0000 to RootCookie00000 and boom, I was in with full administrator privileges. It wasn’t a surprise to find that many other webcams used the same authentication method as this one. How can Security camera companies build such insecure cameras ? Anyone could get access to your cameras disable them, and then rob you. This makes me reconsider if they bring any security at all,
