If I have all Google devices, realistically, should I be concerned about privacy from Google Nest cameras?

I want to install a series of security cameras around my house (none inside), and have been adamant about having this system be as secure as possible. Due to privacy concerns I haven’t even considered Nest or Ring cameras despite their simplicity, much to the annoyance of others in my family. It has been pointed out to me that it’s odd for me to be so adamantly anti-Nest cameras specifically, considering I’m a bit of a Google fanboy and the concerns I have likely apply to most of my current devices too (I have a Google Pixel, a Chromebook, etc.). I don’t want to throw all caution to the wind, but is this a dumb hill to die on?
