EX-PORN star Mia Khalifa has claimed her former husband encouraged her to join the sex industry to satisfy his twisted fetish.
She alleged she was treated like a “toy” by her ex, who was ten years her senior, saying he relished in controlling her.

The model says she was pressured into joining the adult industry by her ex-husband[/caption]
The 30-year-old’s three-month stint in the adult entertainment world brought her global stardom, but at a major price.
Mia admitted she has made “a lot of choices that I can’t take back” during her illustrious career – with porn being “one of the biggest”.
She opened up about the relationship that dictated her teen years as well as the dark side of the industry on Stephen Bartlett’s Diary of a CEO podcast.
The Lebanese–American beauty explained she had been swept up by the whirlwind romance with an unnamed military man before it soon turned sour.
Mia said the four-year relationship began as “grooming”, adding that her low-self esteem allowed her to be easily manipulated.
She told Dragons Den star Steven it was “just a relationship that I feel like a lot of girls get into when they’re in their late teens.”
The former Pornhub actress, who now prefers to go by her birth name Sarah Joe Chamoun, said her ex was “extremely abusive.”
Just four days after her 18th birthday, Mia claims she was “talked into” eloping in Las Vegas and got wed.
She continued: “I didn’t have a sense of self so I attached myself to someone who was more than happy to abuse that and someone who could see that and see someone as easily manipulatable …but at the same time eager to please. It was just the perfect storm.
“It was an extremely unhealthy relationship – and I even feel weird calling it a relationship, because the dynamic was not one of a relationship.
“It was more one of someone who saw a toy to play with.”
Her tumultuous time with her ex, who was in the US Army at the time, took an even darker turn when he pressured her into doing porn at the age of 20.
Mia recalled how she had been handed a business card by an industry scout, which she “laughed off” when informing her husband.
She said: “He put that whole world in front of me and encouraged it. The consensus was, ‘you should do it, I think that would be great’.”
When asked what her husband would gain from her becoming an adult star, she simply replied: “Fetishisation.”
Mia spectacularly quit porn after just three months in 2015, despite becoming Pornhub’s most-viewed performer after her debut.
The X-rated video that catapulted her to international fame culminated with her receiving death threats from ISIS.
She wore a hijab during a scene with Sean Lawless and Julianna Vega, prompting a huge backlash from the Muslim community.
Mia said producers told her to wear the hijab and didn’t realise she could say no as she was young and “moderately demure.”
She claimed ISIS shared a manipulated image of her about to be beheaded by an executioner with a message warning she would go to hell.
The terror group also hacked her Instagram account and posted jihadi propaganda on it and posted a picture of her apartment on Twitter.
To make matters worse, Mia said the clip – which went on to be viewed millions of times and cement her as one of PornHub’s most popular performers – made her almost no money.
She said she was living in a “cockroach-infested” apartment at the time, describing it as “disgusting … so, so bad.”
Despite fans being gutted she was departing from the porn industry, Mia credits the experience to giving her “thick skin”.
She told BBC Radio 5 Live in 2018: “No one harassing me on the internet is going to get to me after all that.
“I just try to laugh things off because it could always be much, much worse.”
Now, Mia is a sports presenter, live-streamer, influencer, OnlyFans creator and cam girl.
She recently unveiled a collaboration with rapper Wiz Khalifa for his marijuana brand, Khalifa Kush.
Mia got engaged to Swedish chef Robert Sandberg in 2019 and wed at their home in the midst of Covid the following year.
But Mia revealed they had broken up in April this year, shortly after their first wedding anniversary, despite their attempts to reconcile with therapy.
She said in an Instagram post: “We will always love and respect each other because we know that not one isolated incident caused our split, but rather, a culmination of unresolvable, fundamental differences that no one can blame the other for.”
