I keep getting IT answers on good (from my day job) but I need to find a way to log who is accessing a remote building/ trailer.

I don’t need theft protection or alerting (though I wouldn’t say no), what I’m picturing is a battery powered keypad and door sensor, and if the door opens it screams / alarms until a code is put in, and logs whose code at what time (or the lack of code)

This can all be stored and retrieved locally, really time alerts desired but not required.

In Canada, which does limit the options with connectivity.

Anything as a starting point appreciated, this is not my typical area and looking for a starting point.

Doesn’t quite line up with this sub, but can see this type of solution being used at a shared camp or similar.
