Hello I have a Honeywell (resideo) Vista 15p with only 1 zone and around 1:30am the panel started to beep non-stop with an ECP error. I hard restarted it to get it to stop, but a constant comm error remains, and says “max attemps exceeded” with a phone icon. My panel is a 6920w, from searching online the best I could find is this means the device can no longer communicate with the central server. I called them and they did see the device was offline around 1:30am but now see it’s online.
I can enable the alarm, etc. but have no real way of knowing it will communicate with the central office unless the alarm goes off, I dont know of a way to test without the alarm going off.
I’m not able to clear this error message. The best it seems I could do is clear the phone number, though i’m hesitant to do that.
The only 3rd party item I have is a Envisalink 4, though I’ve never had a problem. The only addition recently was fire monitoring was added.
Is there a way to actually clear this message or am I at a point I should just have the company come over and fix this.
