I have a large shed, where I store a few valuable items.

The shed has electricity (yay!), but it doesn’t have wired Internet.

It’s about 30 feet from my house, and you can get a half-decent WiFi signal in there.

The doors are big and old — i.e. they move a bit with the wind, but are locked with a hasp and padlock.

I would like to detect if somebody breaks in and/or moves around in there, and send an alert to myself or possibly sound an alarm. Something.

Lately there have been some break-ins reported in my area, so I am concerned they will come to my shed.

I already put up some solar powered motion sensor lights, so that’s a start.

Any ideas?
